At the initial hearing 1. Request a continuance. 2. File a motion for discovery. 3. Draft memorandum setting forth law and facts that support your claim. If you were speeding 4. Negotiate with prosecutor to reduce fine to minimum and reduce speed to a no points speed. Call the prosecutor up. If you were not speeding 5. Proceed to trial a. Research prcedures for introducing evidence and any evidence you want to use needs to be given to the prosecutor in advance. (see time limits for your area). b. Research how to introduce evidence at a trial. c. Be confident by preparing questions at least as many times as old you are.
